Najin Kim, from Korea PDF Print E-mail

The world today is connected in so many ways and it is everyone's responsibility to get together and take
responsibility to solve the problems all people face.
Najin Kim, from Korea

I got to know about both favela and Brazilian (Rio de Janeiro) society. It was a real eye opener to go in to a favela, see the situation and talk to people who live there. This experience made me realise how positive people in the hardest situations can be and helped me to develop a positive attitude.

In this picture Najim is with Cris, the coordinator of SAMP (Sociedade de Amigos do Morro dos Prazeres)

Najin Kim helped Iko Poran to format new volunteer programs with several organisations including "SAMP", "Dança pra Galera.com" and "O Nosso Papel". She visited these organizations and interviewed a number of international volunteers to provide accurate descriptions of all the activities volunteers have already been involved in and could be involved in in the future.

In this picture she is with the following volunteers:

Sitting down from left to right:
Liz Kennedy, from Ireland; Matthew Thorne and Shea Ferrell, from the US; Louisa Tobin, from Ireland.
