I got to talk to and see people in their own environment, to get a glimpse of everyday life. My ideas of how the world is and should be are not necessary right for other people in other places and situations. It gives me a reminder of the importance of humbleness. I cannot save the world but by experiencing other cultures I can be a more open, understanding and reflected person.

It's a meaningful experience that you will take with you for the rest of your life. And hopefully you have also been meaningful in someone elses lives.
